GROUSE & WOODCOCK

Grouse and woodcock are usually hunted in alder, swales and abandoned farms, which for many
years have been the best place to find them. At times, you will come across 1 - 6 grouse in a flock.
You could get up to 25 - 30 points for woodcock a day. Well trained dogs play a big part of your hunt.
With your dogs, it is not uncommon 10 - 20 birds a day. Grouse limits are 6 per day; woodcock limits
are 8 per day. Keep in mind that a full hunters orange hat in addition to 400 square inches of hunters
orange on the chest front and back is required.
